Driver Loses License After Speeding 181 km/h on Norwegian Highway |
Police say the man has been reported for reckless driving and his driver’s license has been confiscated.
“This is far too fast. Such speeds not only imperil the driver, but they put other road users at risk as well. We take this very seriously,” said Christian Svarstad, operations leader at Innlandet Police, in an announcement to NRK.
High-speed driving is believed to be one of the leading contributors to serious accidents on Norwegian highways, the authorities said.
