The Israeli army is advancing into the city in two directions, essentially “sandwiching” residents and cramming the rest along the Mediterranean coast to try to dislodge them.
Israeli Military Offensive. Based on the report from Israeli army spokesperson Nadav Shoshani, infantry troops, tanks, and artillery units are moving further into Gaza City.
The operation is also supported with heavy air force strikes, seeking to apply maximum pressure to Hamas fighters believed to be acting within the urban center. This multi-faceted attack is intended as part of a wider effort by Israel to weaken Hamas’s grip and dismantle its infrastructure.
